Honeywell Amiens designs, manufactures and distributes 3 families of products in the field of measurement and control (Field Instruments, Control Products, FSG).
Approximately 88% of the production of Amiens are exported throughout the world.

Field Instruments - Apparatuses of Ground (38% of the A.C.).

Transmitters of temperature.

Function: They are sensors, transmitters of temperature for fluids circulating or stored in enclosures. They convert these temperatures into electric signals (4/20mA) which are then treated by regulators. These tight and explosion-proof apparatuses are often used in dangerous medium.

Name: STT 150/250/350 (Smart Transmitters Temperature).

The design and manufacture are done in Amiens. The configuration is done in Phœnix (the USA), for the apparatuses intended for the sale in the USA.

Products control - Products of Control (59% of the A.C.).

Recorders:

Function: To materialize in graphic form, evolution in the time of any physical size (temperature, flow, pressure…). The recording is used either for control of an industrial process, or with the automatic monitoring when an immediate action becomes necessary.

Names: DPR xxx (DIGITAL Process To retie), DR. xxxx (Disc To retie),
VRX xxx (Video To retie).

There are 3 quite distinct categories of recorders:
them recording with unrolling diagrams (DPR 100/180/250 correspondent respectively with 3 paper widths: 100,180 or 250mm)
them recording with pie-charts (DR. 4500A1 (1 feather) /A2 (2 feathers) /T (Trueline)).
them recording videos (VRX 100/150/180 without paper but with a color screen LCD 140 or 264mm) directly connected to a computer (information can be recorded on diskette).

50% of the production are dispatched in the USA for configuration.

Regulators and programmers:

Function of the regulators: To control a physical size with an instruction (example: to bring the temperature of a furnace to 200°C; it is a thermostat).

Function of the programmers: To order the instructions of the regulators. Concept of time and stages (example: to program a furnace so that it heats during a certain time and at a given temperature).

Names: UDC xxx or xxxx (Universal DIGITAL Controller) and UCP xxx (Universal Control To program).

Honeywell is the leader on the European market in the production of regulator for baking oven.

Regulators of the range “integrated solutions”:

Function: The integrated solution (regulating + interface operator + software of configuration) constitutes a solution of ideal regulation for the climatic furnaces, rooms, the drying ovens, the boilers and other processes presenting of the similar needs for regulation.

Flame Safe Guard - Controller of Flame (3% of the A.C.).

Function: Relay of control of flame in particular for the industrial burners. If the flame dies out, the relay automatically cuts the fuel or gas arrival.
